Students and faculty in the booth at GSA 2021

The Geological Society of America (GSA) conference this year is in Portland, Oregon at the Oregon Convention Center. The convention is especially notable for us at SDSU in that our very own Dr. Vic Camp is being inducted as a GSA fellow. We also have two graduate students, Hannah Carney and James Futty presenting research posters, Dr. Rafael Almeida will give a talk, and Joan Kimbrough and Dr. Stephen Schellenberg are holding down the booth. It will be a busy couple of days but stop by and say “Hi” if you have the time.

This year four of our students were selected for On to the Future. This program supports students from diverse communities and first time conference goers.
