ANNUAL BANQUET – APRIL 24th, 2015

This year’s banquet will be held on the SDSU campus at the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center. The Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center is located on 55th Street near Hardy Avenue, north of Parking Structure 5. Parking for the event will be available free of charge in PS5.
The Friday evening event begins with a social hour at 6pm and dinner at 7pm. The meal will be followed by the evening’s program.
The program will include presentation of the Baylor Brooks Honored Alumni Award to this year’s deserving alumnus, Dr. Mario V. Caputo, Adjunct Professor with the SDSU Department of Geological Sciences.

Caputo, Adjunct Professor with the SDSU Department of Geological Sciences. The evening’s program will also recognize SDSU’s Imperial Barrel Award teams over the years and the establishment of the Student Field Experiences Fund in honor of Kip Hering. There will be a reception and dedication for the new Kip Hering energy resources laboratory 4:30-5:45 pm before the banquet – and a picnic Saturday at the Hering ranch.
The “Mexican Fiesta” buffet dinner will include pollo asado, carne asada, cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, tossed salad, dessert, and coffee/tea. Other beverages will be available for purchase from a cash bar from 6-8pm.
As a fund-raiser to partially fund students’ banquet meals and other Alumni Association activities, we will have a silent auction that will be set up at the beginning of the evening and will conclude after the evening’s program. If you have any items to donate to the auction, please bring them and/or contact Greg Cranham at gcranham@hargis.com. We sincerely appreciate your donations!
CURRENT SDSU GEO-STUDENTS-At least 50 percent of your banquet fee will be reimbursed if you make a reservation by the deadline AND show up at the banquet!!! And, remember, SDSU geo-alumni may be your future employers and are a great bunch of people!
