Please join us in congratulating Stephen Schellenberg as the new Associate Dean in the Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS). Stephen has been at SDSU in the Department of Geological Sciences since 2002. Stephen has contributed to SDSU through his teaching, research, and service to the university. As a strong advocate for student success, Stephan will make significant contributions to DUS and its programs. Focused on high impact educational practices, the division coordinates quite a number of academic engagement programs and centers including the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Center for Regional Sustainability, the Compact Scholars Program, the University Honors Program, Liberal Studies, Study Abroad Program, The Early Assessment Program and the Thomas B. Day Student Success Programs. In addition, Stephen will join Geoff Chase in facilitating our WASC accreditation process and student learning outcomes assessment. Thus, we anticipate that Stephen will continue to contribute to COS in broad ways that will have promising and lasting impacts.
